MAC Dues Increase
At the Board meeting on Thursday, Aug. 19, the fiscal year 2022 budget received unanimous approval. Thanks to the commitment of our Members and the hard work of our staff and Board over the past year and a half, the MAC is in better financial condition than we were a year ago. That being said, we are experiencing increased operational costs in everything from insurance and food to labor costs. To ensure you continue to receive the Premier level of service our Members expect and deserve, it is necessary to increase our wages to retain and attract staff. Bottom line…it costs more to operate the MAC than it did pre-pandemic.
To help offset these rising costs, you will notice a small dues increase on your Aug. 31 statement. The average increase across Membership categories is less than $7.50 per month. There will be no capital fee increase. The budget does, however, include funds for capital improvements such as the long-overdue Jack Buck Grille renovation as well as the installation of a weather-resistant cover for the 1903 Patio and a refresh of the 1903 Dining Room. The financial initiatives included in the fiscal year 2022 budget and the 10-year cash flow projection, will set us up to take care of our valued employees, meet our obligations, and secure the long-term financial wellbeing of our Club.
